Our Year 12PE Performance classes competed in our very own Tough Guy/Gal Challenge due to the cancellation of the official Auckland event.
This event aimed to test their performance at the end of a six-week training programme to complete the 6.5km course – mostly around the ASB MAGS Farm – in the quickest time possible.
The event proved a real physical challenge for all competing but there were some notable times overall with Luke Clements cleaning up with a time of 27:55mins for the boys and Amelia Caltaux with a time of 36:58mins for the girls.
PE Teacher Andrew Scaife said, “There were also some notable dress-ups among the competitors which really lifted the spirit of the event and all will have a fantastic memory of this day looking back as they reflect on this year.
“A big shout out, also, to all the helpers and marshals that were essential to the event’s success.”
