Students and parents will be guided to the appropriate staff member by reception staff.
This is also where students should come to request a Late Pass, and to sign out of school if they need to leave campus for an appointment (following parental permission).
Students who are unsure about where to go, for any reason, should report to the Student Centre reception, where a friendly person will point them in the right direction.
Lost property should be handed into and collected from the Student Centre. Staff will do their best to reunite students with mislaid items. Labelling or naming personal property and items of uniform will help with this process.
Parent notice
If your child forgets their lunch, sports shoes, homework, money or any other item they might need for a school day, we politely request that parents do not drop off those items to the Student Centre.
MAGS students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own organisation, and staff find that they need to discover the consequences of forgetting an essential item only once to learn to always pack it in future. We appreciate parents’ supporting us in teaching this life skill.
Additionally, it is not appropriate for Student Centre staff to handle cash and we request that parents do not ask them to do so.
Thank you for your understanding.
