MAGS Aquatic Academy and Swim Club member Brearna Crawford broke two more Auckland records at her first meet of the season during the July holidays.

Competing for the first time in the 14-year-old age group, the Year 10 student set a new record in the 200m Breaststroke of 2.34.60 in her heat, and then broke it again in the final when she swam 2.32.48. She also set a new record in the 100m Breaststroke of 1.11.06 – this record had stood since 1991.

Brearna has now set a total of 11 new Auckland records and 5 new New Zealand records across multiple events in the past nine months, as well as picking up Gold and Silver medals in Australia.

Her Coach, Mr Paul Kent, says the star swimmer has a busy term ahead with the NZSS Championships, NZ Short Course Nationals and representing New Zealand at the Australian State Championships.
