The Owairaka Jazz Ensemble performed on Wednesday.
Directed by Mr Neil Watson, this group’s repertoire included the samba Chega De Saudade featuring Anouk Blackburn on vocals, the jazz standard Stella By Starlight, and Backlash that featured soloists Amie Jerschke, Felix McElwee, Julien van Omen, Will Poynter and Sylvie Edwards. They finished with Emma Newland singing Shallow from A Star is Born.
