It is with great pleasure that Mount Albert Grammar School announces the 2019 Prefect Executive team. This is an outstandingly capable, confident and humble team of student leaders from within our 2019 Prefects (as announced last month). The executive team is:
- Takunda Muzondiwa – Head Girl
- Germain Hellriegel-White – Head Boy
- Alyssa Houma – Deputy Head Girl
- India Bulman – Deputy Head Girl
- Darhys Simone – Deputy Head Boy
- Oscar Graham – Deputy Head Boy
Takunda Muzondiwa has been a recipient of all four Lions at MAGS. She has gained Level 1 and 2 with Excellence and a Sports Lion for Lacrosse. She has a Service Lion through her work as a Librarian, Digital Technology Leader, and SADD committee member. And she has been heavily involved in the Arts through, Debating, Threatresports, MUNA, Spoken Word, Orchestra and Musical Theatre group.
Germain Hellriegel-White has already achieved Level 1 and 2 endorsed with excellence and is on track to achieve the same at level 3. He is involved in a variety of areas of school life including Rowing (Sport Lion), the Academic Council, school production, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, was a finalist at the Eureka! Awards and will be a Peer Support Leader in 2019.
Alyssa Houma has gained Level 2 with Excellence and has been heavily involved in Service through tutoring in the Homework Centre, being a representative on the Komiti Faufautua, Interact and the Pasifika Council. She has gained a Sports Lion through Lacrosse and has taken part in the school production, Creative Writing Club, MUNA and Tongan Group.
India Bulman has already gained Level 2 with Excellence. She has been heavily involved in Service through Interact, Amnesty International, Student Academic Council and the SADD committee. She has been involved in the school production, MUNA and Squash.
Darhys Simone has already achieved Level 2 and is heavily involved in a number of activities around school. He is a leader of the Pasifika Council, a peer reading mentor and will be a Peer Support Leader next year. He is also involved in athletics and rugby.
Oscar Graham has already achieved Level 2 with Excellence. He is a talented sportsman, playing a variety of sports including Rugby, for which he was awarded a Sports Lion, Athletics, Tennis and Swimming. He is also a member of the Health Committee.
