Year 13 student Matthew Valkenberg stepped off the plane home from the NASA Space Camp to head straight to the adult Fenton Cup Fencing Competition, where he came 2nd.
Coach Mr Kyle Macdonald said it was a top class result from a school age fencer. “Matthew put up a very close fight in the final, pushing all the way.”
