Mount Albert Grammar School have three teams entered in this competition: Jnr Boys, Jnr Girls and a mixed junior team.
This game played at the National Aquatic Centre saw Sacred Heart leading 3 -2 and the end of the first quarter – the final score saw Sacred Heart win 10 – 3.
The Junior Girls Softball team played Massey High School in their first team game at May Rd. They were leading 5 – 4 at the end of the second innings but Massey won at the bottom of the third 9 – 6.
2013 Head Boy Jack Goodhue debuted for the All Blacks in their victory against the French XV in Lyon on Wednesday, November 15, with a performance described as “excellent” and “impressive”.
The Junior Boys Softball team played Auckland Grammar School at May Rd, winning convincingly 24-0. They played a second game against St Peter’s College, winning that match 9-3.
Year 9 and 10 students who have excelled in a sport this year were presented with trophies at Junior Assemblies on Friday, November 10.
This was a chance for the athletes selected for the NZSS Nationals to have an informal practice at Kings College with a group of other schools.
MAGS Girls played in the AKSS Rugby Sevens Tournament out at Waitakere Rugby Club finishing 5th.
Eight students are finalists in the 2017 College Sport Auckland Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards.
Five Albertians have been signed to the Crusaders and Blues Super Rugby teams for 2018.
The MAGS Under 15 Sevens team won the Auckland Championship at the Waitemata Rugby Club after beating Kelston Boys High School 24-17 in the final.
