Played against Auckland Grammar as part of the Centenary celebrations there were plenty of attempts but only one goal to Grammar.
A closely fought game, Epsom was up 2 – 0 by half time though MAGS equalised in the second half and not for lack of trying nobody could net the winning goal.
MAGS scored the first two tries and was leading 10 – 6 at half time only to have Kelston come back to win 16 – 14.
The annual school cross country took place on April 11 (Year 9 Girls, Year 10 Girls, Year 11 PE Classes and Senior students) and April 12 (Year 9 and Year 10 Boys).
Games were played in Touch and Basketball, with youthful energy up against experience and cunning.
Highly competitive games were played in Football, Basketball and Touch.
This year at MAGS there were teams playing Tennis, Squash, Football, Rugby, Basketball and Climbing. Whangarei were the better at the racquet sports but the others were won by MAGS.
Played at the Auckland Grammar turf, the game was well supported with plenty of Albertians wanting to be involved.
There was a lot of enthusiasm among the female Albertians to continue with the tradition that was started off last year with this hockey match.
The Cricket Boys 1st XI and Albertians combined to form two teams (Augusta and Angusta) in a 30-over-a -side match.
