In a close fought game at Mount Roskill Grammar School on a very cold windy night neither team prevailed in the final with the score drawn at 1 – 1.This means this is the second year they have the U15 Championship albeit shared this year.
In front of a home crowd MAGS scored two tries in the first 10 minutes leaving no doubt as to the result – only the score.
At half time the score was 41 – 0 and the full time score 79 – 0.
The game at MAGS was poised evenly with a couple of disallowed goals at 1 – 1 but sadly Rosmini scored the one that clinched the result of the semi-final.
The MAGS team playing at home was even at 1 – 1 until Baradene scored three more goals. MAGS clawed one back to leave the final score at 2 – 4.
The Premier team went through to the semi-final against St Dominic’s College and won by a slender margin. They then faced Howick College who were the eventual winners 14 – 9.
However, the combined points of the Year 9, Year 10 and the Premier teams meant they won the Combined Points Netball Tournament trophy for 2019.
Year 10 team went through to the Quarter Finals where they were knocked out by the Avondale Junior Premier team 19 – 14.
Year 9 Netball was part of three teams that played at Merton Rd in the Combined Points Tournament.
Another home game for MAGS, taking 0n Otahuhu College. At halftime MAGS was in front and went on to win 16-6.
