MAGS played AGS at Mount Albert Grammar with MAGS batting first in the 50 over format. There were 2 50 partnerships and an individaul 50 with more than 35 of those overs having both a right and left handed batsman.MAGS were 200/8 at the end of 50 overs.
The Swimming Sports were held at MAGS with a large number of swimmers sporting caps from a large number of different clubs..
In pool play of Day 1 for the U15 Boys they faced Whangarei Boys (w 29 – 0), St Pauls College (L 5 – 22), St Johns College, Hamilton (L 5 – 22) and Palmerston Boys High School ( L 31 – 10).
On day three of the Condor 7’s National tournament the U15 girls’ played their pool round against Avondale College (w 26 – 15), Wesley College (w 28 – 7), Sacred Heart Girls’ College (w 19 – 12) and Long Bay College (w 32 – 5).
The Condor 7s, the National 7s four-day competition is being played out at King’s College. The Open Boys team pool games were against Whanganui Collegiate (d 26 – 26), Westlake Boys High School (w 24 – 19), Wesley College (w 36 – 7) and St Patricks Silverstream (w 24 – 21).
The Condor 7s are being played out at King’s College this year with Day 1 pool play featuring both the Open Boys and Open Girls draw. MAGS Girls faced Southland Girls (w 33 – 10),Hamilton Girls (w 24 – 21) and New Plymouth Girls High School (w 24 – 12.)
This was the one that got away. Set in the picturesque grounds of Kings College MAGS batted first making 109 in their 20 overs. Kings took to the field and made 110 in their 19th over with 7 wickets down.
The Junior Girls played two games at Cornwall Park today losing the first v Baradene College narrowly.
The Junior Boys had only 1 game today v Auckland Grammar School at Cornwall Park which they lost narrowly.
The Junior Boys played Glendowie College at Sacred Heart Aquatic Centre eventually losing 4 – 8 in a close fought game.
