On March 26, the Auckland Secondary School Athletics Championships took place at Mount Smart Stadium with 28 students representing the school
The tournament played out at Rosedale Park in Albany had the girls facing off with Epsom Girls whom they eventually lost to 2 – 8.
Played out at Rosedale Park, Albany MAGS had been beaten before by Westlake in this NZSS tournament and were again defeated, this time 5 – 2.
MAGS won the Auckland T20 Final by 23 runs over St Kentigern College at Melville Park.
Archery is a growing sport with close to 260 students archers from high schools across Tāmaki Makaurau competing in the weekly College Sport competition.
A change of venue saw the game transferred to Orakei Domain, where MAGS batted first and made 169/5. St Peter’s were bowled out for 103.
Held out at Mt Smart Stadium for the first times in 5 years.
A good opening partnership helped MAGS to a score of 112/3 but EGGS reached that target with the loss of only four wickets.
Played down at Cox’s Bay the team played Mahurangi College, Rosmini College, Auckland Grammar and Papatoetoe High School.
