MAGS played Auckland Grammar School in the final of the U13 Knock Out Cup out at Bill McKinlay Park. A closely fought match right to the bitter end with the only goal scored just before fulltime. Final score: Win to MAGS 1 – 0.
St Cuthberts College played MAGS at St Cuthberts.
The half time score was 3 – 1 and the full time score 4 – 2 to St Cuthberts College.
MAGS played James Cook High School in the third of their pool games out at Pulman Park, winning all consecutive games.
James Cook High scored a try and converted in the first half to go ahead 6 – 4 and from there in it was all MAGS finishing the game 22 – 6.
A try in the first 5 minutes and the same after half time left MAGS in a good position,
The final score in the game was 29 – 7 the third successive win.
This tournament is held at the North Shore Events Centre, lasting 4 days if you get through to the play-offs. MAGS were always ahead in this game and finished with a score of 104 – 60.
The final of the AKSS competition was held at the North Shore Events Centre between Rosmini College and MAGS, who were runners-up after Rosmini won 80-48.
MAGS Premier Girls Basketball team are AKSS Champions after beating Auckland Girls Grammar 59-52 in a close game played at the North Shore Events Centre.
This competition final was played out at Mt Smart Stadium No 2 field where the lighting formed a huge challenge.
Kelston won the battle 14 – 6.
The APC Final played at Seddon Fields was a direct repeat of the 2017 final with Epsom again winning 1 – 0 except the goal, this time in the first half seemed against the run of play.
Mount Albert Grammar School played Westlake in the quarter-final of the Knock Out Cup competition at MAGS.
MAGS scored first in the first half with Westlake equalising just before half-time. However, the second half saw MAGS score four more goals to finish winning 5 – 1.
