It was an intense physical game played on St Paul’s home ground. MAGS extended their halftime lead of 17 – 12 to win 34 – 12.
Played on the No 1 field at MAGS, the game was a physical contest with heavy, constant tackles. However, the score was even at 12 – 12.
Played at MAGS it was a closely contested game with MAGS the eventual winner 4 – 3.
Played at Mount Albert Grammar, Aorere College had a size advantage but MAGS wore them down, winning 18 – 12.
Played out at the William Green Turf in Pakuranga there were no goals in the first half. The second half saw Sacred Heart go on to win 4-0.
This game was played at Eden Park as the curtain raiser for the Blues v Highlanders game. After initially leading for half of the first half with three penalties but eventually lost 16 – 35.
This invitation game was played at MAGS to the visiting team from Matsuda High School. Despite their diminutive stature their technical skills and perseverance won them the game 29 – 27.
MAGS hosted Rangitoto College in this opening round of the Premier competition and were up 3-0 at half-time beorfe going on to win 4-0.
MAGS won all their games winning the Grammar Cup.
The annual exchange took place this year at MAGS with teams playing Hockey, Football (off site) Volleyball, Basketball and Rugby.
The rugby ended with a win to MAGS 19 – 10.
