A well fought game that had a goal in each half – the first half goal to St Kentigern and the second half goal to MAGS.
Gregory Terrace, a private school in Brisbane visited MAGS to play an invitational team composed of both of U14 and U15 teams.
Full time saw the score favoring MAGS 35 – 19.
A half time score of 5 – 1 against MAGS at Mount Roskill Grammar turned into a 9 – 4 full time score.
Played at Mount Albert Grammar School St Pauls had a half-time lead of 12 – 6.
The final score 30 – 6 to St Pauls.
The first game of the season was played at MAGS in front of many supporters with a full time score of 34 – 19 to AGS.
Played at Mt Roskill Grammar School the game remained scoreless at half-time despite repeated goal attempts by MAGS.
This was rectified in the second half leaving the final score 1 – 0 to MAGS.
The second of the pool games in the NZSS Water Polo competition played at the Diocesan pool. MAGS scored 3 times eventually losing 10 – 3.
The Premier Boys Water Polo team were well beaten at the National Aquatic Center by Rangitoto College. The half-time score was 10 – 0 and full time result was 13 -2.
They scored the two goals in the third quarter and kept Rangitoto scoreless in the last quarter.
Played at Rosmini College, this game saw the two arch-rivals blood junior members of their teams.
MAGS had a number of athletes entered in the Championships. The Boys draw played at the Scarbro Tennis Centre in Merton Rd.
