For the first time MAGS failed to make it out of pool play, beaten by Auckland Girls Grammar by 1 point but also St Peters Cambridge.
MAGS traditionally field a Yr 9, 10 and Premier team in this competition held annually at the Auckland Netball Centre. Unfortunately Yr 9 did not progress from pool play.
An arm-wrestle of a match played on the Sir BG Williams Field, with MAGS eventually winning 17-11.
Played out at Pakuranga College the Football Girls held a 3 – 2 lead at half time finishing the game at 5 goals to 2.
A see-sawing game that saw MAGS lead at half-time 13 – 8. The score changed regularly in the second half with MAGS edging ahead with a penalty by 1 point in the final minutes of the game, winning the Eddie Wilson trophy.
A hard task for newcomers Marist College, to the Rugby competition. MAGS won the fixture 12 tries to nil.
A repeat of the week before; same ground, opposition and time. Unfortunately, not the same result, with AGS winning 2 – 1.
A fiercely contested game in which Grammar had the advantage of a first half lead of 2 – 0. A serious come-back saw MAGS the final winners 3 – 2.
A home game against Diocesan who scored 2 goals to MAGS 1.
A weighty game fought fiercely by both sides at Manurewa High School. A last-minute try to MAGS saw them the winners 20 – 10.
