Tony Sail, the Director of Cricket and the Boys 1st XI coach for the last 20 years went out on a high, winning the AKSS Championship and the Maryatt Cup at MAGS.
St Kentigern College won the toss and sent MAGS into bat first. At 30/4 it seemed a challenge but solid partnerships made the final score 148 all out for MAGS in only the 44th over.
St Kentigern also failed to bat out the whole 50 overs, and could only muster 93 all out.
The Boys 1st XI now go on to contest the national championships as Auckland representatives in the Gillette Cup next month.
