Two titles at Auckland Road Running Champs

Hannah Houghton and a six-strong Junior Girls team have won Gold at the Auckland Road Running Championships at Pulman Park in Takanini.
The change of date for this event – to Tuesday this week – worked out well for MAGS with a team of 23 athletes entering – up from just three athletes in 2017.
Hannah won the Senior Girls event run over 4km, while the Junior Girls triumphed over 3km. And Luke Clements picked up a Bronze in the Junior Boys event over 4km.

Intermediate Boys (4km) – Thomas Brendolise, 16^th; Luca Eastwood, 23^rd; Daniel Carroll, 40^th; Adam Bateman, 46^th; 3-man team, 6^th.
Intermediate Girls (4km) – Alia Smith, 26^th.
Senior Boys (6km) – Liam Thompson, 9^th; Harry Thurman, 23^rd; Liam Grozev, 40^th; 3-man team, 6^th.
Senior Girls  (4km) – Hannah Houghton, 1^st, Auckland Champion.
