The eight students pictured above are finalists in the 2017 College Sport Auckland Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards, based on their achievements for the school and with regional and national representative teams.
Director of Sport Mr David Long, who departs MAGS at the end of the year after 17 years, is also in line for an award for his Service to Secondary School Sport.
The winners will be announced at a prizegiving dinner at Eden Park on Thursday, November 23.
