Musician Tama Waipara visits Maori students

Successful Maori musician Mr Tama Waipara was the guest speaker at the final Maori assembly of the year on Friday, 27 October.

Mr Waipara has performed with popular musicians Stan Walker, Maisey Rika, Ria Hall and Troy Kingi, and done work on albums made in Los Angeles.

He spoke to the students about staying true to their Maori culture, and choosing a career about which they were passionate.

Mr Waipara then performed one of his original songs, Under an East Coast Moon.
