Eight of MAGS’ Year 10 students participated in the Growing NZ Innovation Challenge. The Challenge was organised by Young Enterprise and sponsored by Dairy NZ. During the challenge, students competed with those from other schools to provide solutions to real life situations faced by different sectors of our primary industries. Hadrian Weatherall, Luca Eastwood and their team were awarded first place for their solution to encourage the consumption of faba beans (also known as broad beans).
Participating students can continue the challenge by submitting a digital presentation of their solution for a prize of $250.
MAGS students taking part were: Ben Campbell, Luca Eastwood, Kaitlyn Sanders, Eric Shen, Samantha Speight, Ruby Taylor Sinclair, Hadrian Weatherall and Serena Zheng.
